Does anyone know why PT2024.x on Sonoma takes forever to save a session on Nexis?

Kim, I wish I could be of some help here as I've been experiencing a similar delay when I save a Pro Tools session. I'll type cmd+s and sometimes I won't see the file menu highlight. Sometimes I will. Some of those times that I see the file menu highlight and then immediately close the session it'll immediately as me to save again, like there was a change or that it didn't save the first time. Most of the time, if I wait a second or two after I type cmd+s then it won't ask again.

I haven't been able to look into what combination of products is affecting this. Is its Sonoma and/or the version of Avid Client Manager installed or if it's the version of the Avid storage system and the Avid Client manager installed or some other combination. In the past I have gone to earlier versions of the Client Manager to figure out which one has better performance and stability. I think the solution lies in having the correct combination.

Hi again Kim.....

We did release 2024.10 and that fixed one thing....... it caused PT to crash after 24.2 NEXIS client and we asked customers to use 24.2 NEXIS client until we fixed that condition in 24.10.

Are you seeing this "slowness" using the 24.10 NEXIS client?
