Where did Show Auto-Created Clips go in 2024.10? I kept getting the old "You're showing auto created clips...." message and wanted to switch it off in the Clips menu. Funny thing, the keyboard shortcut still works.

Ok, found it. So just the documentation needs to be updated. Well sometimes it's difficult to adapt when you are used to something for 25 years.

Yeah, that got me, too. I did the same thing - checked the manual, which is wrong. Discovered it by poking around.

This also got me. You have to click the filter dropdown on the top left of the clips bin and make sure "Auto-Created" is checked.

To everyone on this thread who I've started a support case. Please note that I'll be closing them now.
I just got information from the team... It was an error in the Documentation. The option can be found under the Filter Widget. The Reference guide will be updated on the upcoming Pro Tools release. Please See Screenshot on the Link below https://drive.google.com/file/d/1irG...ew?usp=sharing

Maybe I'm having a senior moment, but I don't see how this helps. In order to see Auto-Created, one needs to select both 'Auto-created' and 'Audio', which surely defeats the purpose of a 'filter'.
Happy to be corrected!

I guess it's just a different logic.
'Show' now determines the details of what you see from a certain file. (Color, path, clip name or file name etc.) The filter options let you select what kind of files you'd like to be shown / filtered out. (Audio, Auto-Created, MIDI, Video) I didn't mind how it was before, but to be honest it was a bit confusing since some of the options, like 'Path' affected how other options from the list like 'Video' would be displayed. |
