I'm running PT Studio on Mac OS.
How do I assign software instrument plug-in parameters in Pro Tools to the knobs on my external MIDI controller? For example, I am using Arturia Analog Lab and I want to automate some of it's parameters using the knobs on my keyboard. When I go to the automation page in Pro Tools for Analog Lab, I get a list of about 100 controller #s instead of parameter names, so it's a total guessing game to even find what controller number / parameter I'm trying to automate. I'm thinking if I can quickly assign any parameter to a MIDI controller knob, I don't have to struggle this way..... I am very familiar with writing automation in Pro Tools, just not how to quickly assign something to a MIDI controller knob. Thank you. |
