Session Transfer by CD
Normally a session would be transfered by using the "session copy to" with or without audio files.
If it is necessary to transfer a session via CD, and you do not wish to go through the "ProTools was unable to find the file..." routine, is there a way to accomplish this transfer? Using MacOS 9, Toast for CD Burn... ...J ------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

here is what i do,
consolidate all tracks and playlists (shift option 3) select unused audio files (shift-apple-u) delete unused audio files (shift apple b) next, go to the finder make sure all of your tracks are there in the audio files folder, now, if your audio files folder consists of more than 650 megs, make another folder titled audio files 2(or whatever you want) you have to do that, because of the cd's data storage limit next, burn a cd of the session, plugin settings and audio files one. then burn as many additional disks according to how many additional audio files folders you had to make. i know it sounds like a big process, but it is really not. remember, you should always check to see if it comes up on your own system before you take it anywhere. hope this helps, and i wasnt too confusing, i havent been up this early in a really long time. beau |
