White noise problem while tracking

Hello!

I have a very serious problem with my new HD3 8.0.3. Sometimes (actually very often, 1 out of 5 takes) after recording plays the audio as a white noise and sometimes there's no sound at all. I can see from regions that the audio is there but it gives me only white noise or silence. Scrub-tool doesn't play it right also. When I export the files everything is there without any errors. I solved the problem in PT that I need to copy the files to other location, consolidate and then move the files back. This is very frustrating and takes lot of time and of course when the white noise problem occurs, it also goes to artists headphones and kills his/her ears (which is not a good thing imo).

I have done several years with my old 7.4 HD3 PCIx and never had this kind of problem.

Is this a PT bug or do I have some problems in my rig?

Is this happenin on all drives or the RAID drive?

I have all the sessions in this RAID-drive so that is what I've been using. I'll record tomorrow to a external hard drive and see how it goes.

i seem to get this prob when SESSION FILES are fragmented. I can make it happen when using slower (reads unsupported) drives (i.e. USB drives) have you done a threw-put test on your hard drives? I would also check the session files on the disk.

Funny I've never had this problem - but oh, Wait! I don't use RAID. RAID is not supported. How about you use that for backup and use a proper drive when you have clients in the room?!?
