PTF not recognizing CD-RW Drive

I looked through the entire DUC and found nothing on this.

My problem is that PTF won't allow me to Back-up sessions to my Sony CD-RW Drive. It is an IDE drive. When I tried to back-up PTF gave me an invalid drive error. Also when looking under drive allocations in the program the CD-RW is not listed.

Does anyone know why this is and if there's a fix for it. I have a way around it for now, but it would be nice to be able to do it right from PTF.

Hello,

It is not possible to backup data with a CD burner directly within Pro Tools. You must use a program like Roxio's EZ CD Creator to archive your data. If your computer came with that drive, chances are this software(or something comparable) is already installed on it.

Kinda what I thought. Was hoping I could do it right from inside PTF but oh well. No Biggie! I have been doing it throught the software that came with the burner and that works just fine. Thanks [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img]
