Ok, Ok......

I assumed that the issue was temp related. After reading Rail's post about checking the temp, it confirmed my thoughts (cause Rail is never wrong). The problem was, it would stay on long enough for me to get into the bios.

I did a quick search on the net and came to a earth-shaking conclusion.....I never put any thermal grease on!!!!! So the heatsink wasn't making good contact with the chip, thus not dissipating the heat, etc..etc...

It's amazing how it booted right up after I gave it a lube job. Man did I feel stupid.

In my defense, I just want to say that I think I was so excited about the new stuff, that I rushed to slap this thing together. Ok, enough excuses. I'll post my Davec results later. Thanks for the help guys.

P.S. I could not find the answer to my problem in TFM

Hey, that's not so bad.. a lot of times the grease doesn't make good contact anyway.

Glad it's working.

This just goes to prove my motto: "nothing beats a good lube job"
