Default CPU usage problem

what i got:
a new intel celeron 3.21 ghz processor with 1 gb kingston ram-memory. the c-disk got 50 gb were only the installations are, the audio folder is in another disk that has 400 gb free space.

i have a track with about 16 channels, and when i lay on the plugins for about 8 of them i cant add anymore, its stops playin in protools and gives me the error: your running out of cpu power. remove som rtas plug-ins or increas the cpu usage limit in the playback engine dialog (-9128).

and in the playback engine dialog i got 85 % in cpu usage limit and 1024 samples in buffersize - level 2 (default) on DAE playback buffer.

SO my question is, why does it run out ? i have what i think a pretty powerfull pc that should be able to atleast mix a 16 channel digital track with plug-ins, am i wrong to think this ??

Is there anyway i can "lock-up" more usage of my computer, any tricks ? or maybe any settings i can change to use more plug-ins for my mixing and still contain the high sample... ? im a newbie you see

well i didem all, well all of them i could, bios options that was written for me to change i couldnt find on my bios setup, using an asius motheboard, they maybe special or something, anyways i didnt find raid or anything like that. non the less it should work anyway. because after all of those other changes, it gives me the error at the same time as before. iv done some reaserch now. iv got 24 channels on my session, the session are in 24 depth and 96 sample rate recorded. no instruments, just an instrumental and vocals. so far iv mixed 6 channels with 12 different plug-in settings. on the ninth channel i cant make anymore mixing.

as i use the ctrl+alt+del and then click on the performance tab to see my cpu usage its about 85-99 % usage but the funny thing is in physical memory i got 1047088 in total were about 60800 of them are available... how the hell are they available if my cpu usage is up on 99 %, i mean maybe my cpu isnt using all of its ram-memory ?? anyways, hope somebody can help me, because deleting this song is not an option beacuse the vocalists were from abroad... please help me out !!!

I don't think you computer is powerful enough to run a session of 16 tracks at 24/96 with plug ins. 96 takes A LOT more power than 44.1 or 48k.

Celeron processors are a known incompatibility with Pro Tools. You are lucky to get any kind of performance out of it at all.

More information can be found in the compatibility section.
