Did we finally get something like heat?

Anyone give it a whirl? and anyone give it a whirl that is familiar with Heat?
I've been messing with it for a little while. My initial impressions are very positive. I haven't used it in group mode yet but it sounds great. I currently have VCC and Satson. I really like the VCC Neve console but other than that I'm preferring the sound of the CS1V.

Don't have Heat but for $59 you can't really go wrong. You can download and run in demo mode. I bought this after the first five minutes of demoing. Today I'll replace my VCC inserts with this across an entire mix and see how it goes.

No question there...but not all of us are world class singers, with "better" mics, and better this that or another. I'm all for making the best of what I have, and making the best recording before hitting the 1's and 0's.

But Analog emulation is used quite often to take the edge off a brittle sounding digital recording...it's a matter of taste I suppose anyways.

Back to Topic:

It seems like this Mellowmuse Plug, might just be the answer for those of us looking for a simple..low cpu, and inexpensive "tool" for that touch of grit and warmth.

You mean you don't have a Neve or SSL to run your VIs through?

VCC and Waves MPX are a great combination.
