Default LE v.5.1 session into 6.4 issues

Hello! I need some help... I've just spent three long (great) days tracking songs into LE v.5.1 at a studio running running OS 9. I had planned on dumping everything to an external and mixing it in LE 6.4 (in OS X) at my studio in a different city 90 miles away. I thought it'd work fine, but now I can't get my Pro Tools set-up to recognize the PT session files.

This is my first time attempting such a task. Any ideas folks?

Thank you -- Jackson

Another idea: if I had access to a version of Pro Tools 5.1, could I put it on my OS X computer that is currently running Pro Tools LE 6.4? Is my problem related to the "Mac/PC compatibility" option?

I've had no problem opening 5.1 sessions in 6.4. Mine were done on the same system though. I've even opened some old PTF sessions on 6.4 with no problems other than the different I/O, and plugs.

You can install 5.1 if you have a separate boot volume for OS9. I wouldn't install onto the same volume with X/Classic though. I never tried it, but I don't think it would be a good idea.

I doubt that the Mac/PC compatibility thing has anything to do with it.

Thanks for the reply. Hmmm... I hope it won't come this, but this is good to know. Would 5.1 work with an 002 even without a PCI card? I'm surprised I can find more information about this issue -- it seems like it could be a common one.

I dunno about 5.1 on an 002. I'm still using this antique 001 thing.
