track sync & re-amping, HD Omni with ELEVEN RACK
posted this on main PT10 discussion to no avail...
has anybody encountered this!? well, this is a strange one... i am doing some re-amping for a mix and was aware there would be some delay within the roundtrip from hd omni to 11R and back and I would have to compensate for it... worked fine for bass, was able to adjust H/W compensation using h/w insert to feed my 11R.. now i go to re-amp guitars and for some strange reason, the re-amped signal is actually ahead of the original track when it comes back to PRO TOOLS!?? AM I going crazy here!? i've gotten rid of H/W delay comp. back to 0ms and even tried going with NO HW delay compensation on {usually on short}.. different buffers dont help., audio gets dropped randomly on each record... its never the same.. but always ahead of the original signal.. weather i run HD NATIVE & 11R as playback engine, result is always the same.. of course i can take the track and nodge it forward till it lines up just fine but i'm seriously confused as to how i can avoid this in the 1st place.. hahah... thanks for any/all help..
