Re: 2021 and still impossible to export individual midi clips?
I believe this is true, but there are ways around it. One would be to highlight the track name of single midi(or instrument) track and go to File>Export and export selected tracks as a new session. That would give you a session with only 1 midi track so you could delete whatever you don't want and then export what's left. I know this sounds like a lot to do, but it probably can be done in less time than it took me to write this post

Re: 2021 and still impossible to export individual midi clips?
2022, 4th quarter...
I've resorted to creating a MIDI track specifically for this purpose in each session & naming the track "MIDI Export". I then just drag a copy of each file to the start of the export track (one at a time) as needed. With the clip highlighted, solo the track & export. Remove the file from the track and repeat as necessary. (removed clips are still accessible via the clip bin). However, PT still doesn't maintain the file name given at export after importing. You have to rename each file after import or keep track of the MIDI file # PT gives it. So albee1952's idea may be a better alternative, especially if exporting a track as a whole. If importing into a different DAW, it seems the filename would stay the same as what you named it. Would be nice if they added the ability to "export as files" from the clip bin for MIDI like you can for audio clips. Then it wouldn't matter where the clips are on the timeline when exporting clips. One could object select multiple clips of various lengths and export in one click rather than one at a time just to export the right file length.
