Default MobilePre 2nd Gen on Win7

Hello,

I am running this M-Audio MobilePre (Rev 2) on an Asus Core i5 laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate. I'm having some issues with the drivers for this interface. The 1.1.7 release causes my computer to crash about 5 mins after I plug the device in (BSOD). There is no control panel or tray icon either, only an icon in Window's CP that displays what type of interface it is, etc. The 1.0.4 drivers work so far, and I do have the option to change the latency, but there is still no tray icon. Is there any way I can get the tray icon to display with the 1.0.4 drivers? Are there any other known issues with the MobilePre 1.1.7 drivers? Searching via google, I found a few instances where people were having the same problem with the crashes, but no real solution other than 'uninstall the drivers'.

Any input is appreciated. If more info is needed or if anyone would like to examine the dumps from the crashes let me know. Thanks!

-Jon

Not sure this will help, but I would boot the computer with the MobilePre connected.

Thanks for the suggestion! But unfortunately I tried that too. It's really quite strange. I've never had this amount of issues with any M-Audio product EVER. I still have yet to see if I run into any more problems when I start recording. I only did some tests so far.

You probably also need to go to Setup>Hardware and select the MpbilePre as the audio engine(or hold the N key while opening Pro Tools to go directly to that option box).
