Default AFF Import Issue

I have just been sent over a new project. When I import the AAF I recieve the below message.

Could not complete your request because Assertion in "..\ ..\ FF\ Audio\ FF_AudioFile.cpp", line 1092.

ProTools opens up fine however this AAF just does not seem to want to work with ProTools. The AAF imports absoultey fine into Divinci Resolve, I have then also re exported the AAF from resolve myself, but I still get the same problem.

I have deleted ProTools prefs, restarted multiple times etc... but no joy.

Does anyone have any clue as to what I could try next? Thanks!

Is this an embedded AAF?

If so, try making the AAF with the media in a separate folder. Also, try importing just one track at a time from the import window. I assume you get that far in Pro Tools. When you get to the track in the AAF that throws that error, you’ll know there’s something on that track that might be corrupt.

Also, check the naming of the file. No strange characters in the file name.

Avid export settings need to be set for PT 10 and 12 compatibility. (see attachment)
