Default Why Do I Hear The Input of 11R in Logic?

Even with nothing in record, and no tracks with inputs assigned, I can still hear 11R as if it's in INPUT MONITOR mode...what is the deal with that?

Thanks
T

That's because Logic isn't really supported. It works just fine, but you'll always hear the input of the 11R. I have/had the same 'problem'. If you start Pro Tools the input of the 11R is disabled/muted.

A solution that I found, and the only one I have found so far, is to open up protools (so that you don't hear the input anymore) and then start Logic and everything just works fine!

It would be great if avid would find a permanent solution to this, especially since the allow all interfaces with Pro Tools 9. It would be cool if the Avid interfaces also work with all functions in other programs :)

I second this. Cubase is my main piece of software, and it'd be great if the Eleven Rack window was a plugin (AU/VST) of some kind so you can adjust things inside your primary software (if it isn't Pro Tools of course). Either that or a standalone version of the ER window.

It just becomes an annoyance to always have to go to Pro Tools and/or the Eleven Rack itself to make adjustments.

Hey thanks I'll try that. I usually have them both open anyway, but I start with Logic...will try the other way around!

Don't just start Pro Tools. The Eleven Rack interface has to be loaded. You'll notice when this happens when you play your guitar, but don't hear any sound until you record enable a guitar track in Pro Tools (or Logic for that matter) :)
