Default Pro Tools 9 Audio Clock issues

Hello everyone, this is my first post here on the Avid audio forums but I've been checking regularly here for a while now.

I've been a Pro Tools user for about a year now and it's been a great program for me. Recently however it's been giving me some issues.

I bought a 21 inch Imac a few weeks ago 2.7Ghz i5 core and it has been great at running the sessions I need it to run. When I'm in sessions though, just randomly it seems, it will tell me there is an audio clock error and to check the session sample rate, which I have and it looks all normal.

The only way around it is to relaunch Pro Tools then it works again. It's been doing it anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour and a half into working on a session.

It isn't a huge issue as I can just relaunch Pro Tools, but I was wondering if anyone has experienced this at all or has any idea what to look for. Also I'm running Pro Tools on built in audio as I don't have an interface just yet.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me!

This is happening to me as well with the latest version of 9 on a 2010 Imac quad i7 2.93 with a presonus firestudio mobile...definitely an issue. Anyone?

One thign i noticed on top of it happening completely randomly. Whenever I import audio via CMD+SHift+I it seems to work for a few minutes for previewing audio then it'll say Audio clock error and force a relaunch. However when I use workspace to import audio there isn't an issue. Not sure if that means anything however.

Which interface are you using? How is everything connected? Which drive are you using for audio? Have you tried any of the optimizations and troubleshooting from the General Troubleshooting thread?

Sorry, i'm on a 2010 Imac Quad 2.93 i7, 8 gigs ram. Latest version of PT9 and the interface is a Presonus firestudio mobile. Latest firmware, drivers etc. I have optimized all my settings and I also run Logic 9, and Live 8 with no clocking issues. Thanks.
