I've registered... but where is the PT8 download?

I'm new and confused. I registered my Mbox which came with PT7.4. I got an email saying I could update to to PT7.4.2. But according to the dealer I should get a free copy of PT8. (It even says that on the website.)

Nowhere can I find a link to download PT8. Not it myDigi nor anywhere on the Digidesign site. Plenty of links to stuff related to PT7.4 which I don't need.

I guess I have to go to the Digidesign web store and pay a couple of hundred Euros for the update.

What a swiz. Out with the credit card again.

The amnesty upgrade usually comes via e-mail. Have you checked your Spam filter?

Spam goes in the bin but is accessible. The Digidesign email I get is, however, not marked as spam.

I got the message 'Pro Tools LE 7.4 No Cost Update' which was not what I was expecting. (My MBox come with PT7.4.2).

I was expecting the message 'Pro Tools LE 8.0 No Cost Update'.

Something is wrong here. Who, at Digidesign. should I contact to allow me to download PT8? Does anyone have any ideas.

It seems that the emails to provide PT8 downloads are backlogged and I've been told by tech support in the UK that I should wait a couple of days.

Same problem here, just got the "Pro Tools LE 7.4 No Cost Update' after i buy and registered a new 003 rack.

Please let us know if you receive the mail from digi, i'll wait a couple of days before contacting them.

Yippee...!!!!! The email arrived this morning.

I started the download soon after. I expect it to be completed by mid-day tomorrow.

1st January 2009 and a new environment. I can't wait to get started.
