Default Feat. Req: Stay on same page when switching track

Hi,

when adjusting EQ on any other parameter page than the first one it would be great if the Control wouldn't revert to the first page when I select a different track.

Example:

I´m adjusting the filters on avid channel-strip which are on page 2. When I select a different track the control switches to page one so I have to select page 2 again.

I´d like an option that makes control stay on what ever page was selected when going to a different track with the same plug-in.

Thanks,

Frank.

That's interesting, cause on a Mix that's how it works and as you say is very handy.

Unfortunately not so on the control.

Frank.

Just another example of the brilliant and clever programming to sell you a Mix and a Control!

It's modular, but that doesn't mean you can live with one or the other

The more I use the Control I actually wonder why they named it "Control" ;-)

The reason I wish it would work better on the control is not so much the money saving part. It´s the much smaller foot-print of ONE controller.

Personally I think a Mix and a Transport is really the way to go. They're not the type of controllers that you can ditch your keyboard, so to me the extra buttons/touch screen you get on a Control isn't really worth it. A Transport actually has a lot of soft keys given the number pad, and the transport part of it is way better than the Control's. Price wise the Mix/Transport is not that much more than a Control plus you get 8 faders with knobs.

Anyhow, to each their own.

I wanted a surround panner so I went with the control. But I´ll give it another few weeks. Might ditch it for a mix. But only if I can set up a "preview" soft key on it without a transport.

Gotchya. I guess you're sticking with the Control then, no soft keys with a Mix.

I've spent a lot of the time programming the touchscreen buttons to make a real keyboard pretty much unnecessary, complete with arrow key/spacebar/tab mappings.. but for very rare situations I still have one on a custom drawer under the desk.
