Default Automating volume

Hello.
Can someone explain to me how can I reduce the overall volume of a group, let's say all hihats and cymbals that already have an automation on volume fader? Do I have to create another aux (I already have tooo many of them) and route those channels to that aux and lower the fader or is there another way around?

Sorry I'm a PC user but it should work in the same way...
Create a Group with the tracks you want to move up or down the overall level(if not already done).
In the edit windows with Volume view on the tracks, select the trimmer tool, and go to the very end of your session (at least after the last breakpoint).
Hold click on one of the track volume line (all the lines turn dotted), then move it up and down as desired.
All your automations lines should move without changing the relative automations already written before.

This is along the line of what I need, but I want to be able to control the volume of all the tracks in a group while a few of those tracks have automation. The above method will do one track of a group and retain the automation but I want to retain automation and control all tracks in the group in one motion.

If you enable the group you make of the 3 tracks, show volume(in the edit window) and zoom out)so the whole song fits on the screen) you can grab any volume line of the grouped tracks(after the end of the song) and drag it up/down as you need. All 3 tracks will change and all the automation moves will be retained. You could also insert a trim plugin on any of the tracsk, adjust the volume and then copy/drag the same trim plugin and drop it on the other tracks.

That's exactly what I did (found that method in another thread) and it only changed the one track who's volume line I grabbed, not all the tracks in the group. I did it a few times and same result every time. But if that's the way, I'll try again.

I want to be able to adjust the volume with automation on all tracks in a group while listening, so one track at a time or a copy and paste won't do.

If you want to hear the change in real time, you probably need to route them to an aux track. Otherwise, change the automation levels of the group, listen back, ||: fine tune, listen back :|| until happy.
