booting with xp

hey all

just wondering if anyone has had booting/gui problems...here is the issue

computer will go thru post and the xp graphic will show, then the monitor flickers and it goes into stand by mode

i rebooted, hit the trusty f8 key went into vga mode and was able to get into the gui, BUT a window pops up asking if i wanted to change my settings (because it set them to 800x600) i clicked yes and the monitor went blank again.

this computer is only 2 days old, and built for the digi

asus azv333
athlon amd 1800+
g force 4 64mb
512 ram
tdk 40x burner
xp home
350w p supply

any ideas?

i thought it might have been a SW issue and when i was in safe mode i was able to get rid of the SW but that did not help [img]images/icons/frown.gif[/img]

sounds to me like you need to load the proper driver for the video card.

and that is exactly what i did...i was pissed that i didn't think about it until after the post...o well
