no instruments in midi recording

i have a protools substription. Just started midi recorging (beginner) when i get to multichannel plug-in: i don,t have INSTRUMENTS in my selection

Hi Welcome to DUC.

The Air instrument installer should be in your Avid.com "My Products" section under Pro Tools, it's a separate installer.

Not sure why you are posting in the old Pro Tools 12 forum section, I expect you are running a more recent version of Pro Tools. If you are still stuck, provide some info on your setup and software versions after reading "Help Us Help You" up top of each DUC web page.

And for beginners make sure you are following a relevant tutorial (find one on YouTube), that you are using an instrument (not audio or midi) track, and I would get started with the Mini Grand piano VI because it is so simple (find a tutorial that uses it).
