Default SOLVED - Carbon Phase issues with hardware inserts

SOLVED - works fine now-

First experiments with Caron and Hardware inserts have been disappointing.

Tried stuff I do everyday with my HD8 on winXP:

All drum tracks output on bus 1-2
2 aux tracks have as input bus 1-2

Perfect Phase

1) On one of the 2 auxes I open a hardware insert (DB25 I/O)

Out of phase between the 2 aux tracks (about 8samples)

2) Duplicate a snare track (always to bus 1-2) Open a hardware insert

Dramatically out of sync (clear delay between the 2 identical tracks)

Putting all drum tracks on DSP seems to solve the issue (aux did't matter)

Shouldn't hardware compensation work on non DSP tracks too?

System is Macbookpro 2017 catalina

Hi Al,

Sorry you're running into issues here. The team has reproduced the issue and is working on a fix as we speak. In the meantime, does using Time Adjuster plugin on the phasing tracks help? That may be more cumbersome than using DSP Mode, but wanted to mention it.

Hi All,

I wanted to follow up as we believe this issue was resolved by the following fixes in 2021.3:

• Delay compensation when using both hardware inserts and AAX Native plug-ins on the same track is now calculated correctly. (PT-268293)

• Delay compensation for hardware inserts on DSP Mode-enabled tracks is now calculated correctly for bounced/committed audio. (PT-267502)

If anyone is still experiencing this hardware insert issue, please let us know.

Thanks,
Kyle

just want to say I am experiencing this issue today.
hardware insert doesn't null on commit on an aux track
on an audio track, that same hardware insert nulls on commit

hmmm....
