Strange Video Error -2015
Hi all,
Wondering anyone can help! I've got a video reel I need to import but for some reason it wont play when I import into the session (quicktime mov). Strangely it WILL play at the start of the session, but when I move it to the 3 hr mark where I need it, it doesnt play at all If I do move it around I also get an "could not complete your request -2015" message come up to. All over reels played fine. Very odd. Not using an external monitor. Pro Tools 9.0.6. Looking forward to responses! :) Many thanks |

Re: Strange Video Error -2015
Haven't seen it myself but a quick Bing search for error "-2015" brought up a quicktime export error relating to invalid timecode.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/torley/2138938943/ As far as I was aware PT didn't rely on a timecode track existing in the video file or read one if it was present other than for spotting purposes but it seems a little too coincidental that your error is both video and timecode related. Out of interest if you set the session start time to 03:00:00:00 do you still get this error with the video placed at the start of the timeline? Could you try and then report back? Ceri |

Re: Strange Video Error -2015
Have you tried deleteing the timecode track in Quicktime? That might cure the problem that Ceri had spotted?
BTW evening Ceri or is it morning. Just had a look at your personal site. I didn't know you worked with John Hardy? We must have met each other in the distant past. Keep in touch buddy Paul McFadden www.bangpostproduction.com |

Re: Strange Video Error -2015
Evening Paul, Yes it's morning here. Spent a summer working with John largely translating his sibelius scores from Acorn to Macintosh format. Great guy.
Will definitely keep in touch. Back in Wales in August maybe we could grab a Brains :) Ceri |

Re: Strange Video Error -2015
Old thread, but as I was just having this issue and worked out a fix.
Not sure if newer versions of PT have fixed the issues. I'm running PT10 on a Mac locked down on System 10.7. The video played fine during editing but on Bounce to Quicktime Movie it would give an Unable to Bounce code -2015 at the end of Converting. I found a fix by deleting the movie, choosing and removing the movie file in the sidebar. Then reimporting the movie. Bounced fine after that. Another issue that sometimes pops up is that sometimes a video over 12 minutes won't play in PT. Fixed that by separating the video (command E) every 10 minutes or so. |
