Neo assertion
HI Guys, I was getting an error on my most used hard drive.
I was trying to re-link some files that some on going project has missing, I don`t know why, since they never change places, but I was getting this message printed on the task window status: "Neo Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/ws.ProTools_9.0.3/AlturaPorts/SDKs/Neo61/Libraries/Macintosh/Enviroments/Alone/../../../../Source/CNeoInode.cpp*.line 1242() this is for a Listing 'my HDname' action. For synchronizing 'my hdname' the number i the end is 1565 I did not change any thing. I did no remember any especific crash or something related. It`s nice to say that the project still plays from the same drive flawless. Now, as I need to finish the project, I was moving 30G of audio files around expecting the project to be ok, playing from other drive. I trash all pref. files and run a repair on the disk. I did not run a permissions check on my System disk. I hope someone could help me. best Ricardo Cutz PT 9 MBOX 2 PRO. MACBOOK i5 2010. 4 gigaram

Re: Neo assertion
Hi. Try deleting all the "digidesign databases" folders on the top layer of all of your connected hd's (pro tools will re-create these the next time you start up the program). This has helped me in the past with the same error, along with the usual pref trashes and maintenance listed in the troubleshooting list from digidesign.

Re: Neo assertion
Hi,
5 year after, I've got exactly the same problem. I work on a session since one week and since today, the same message appear on the task manager windows each time I want to navigage in the worksapce... When I trash the Database folder, Protools simply don't want to be open. It crash before opening... :/ I tried also to rebuild database on the HD Drive with the right clic on workspace windows but it doesn't work... I also scanned my HD to repair permission but it's not effiscient. Any Idea? Thanks for all! PS: I run with PT9.0.5 on Mac OS 10.6.8 |
