Just installed 003_MIDI_MODE_34512 No 003 showing

I installed the MIDI mode firmware update & now PT cant see my DIGI 003 I get the error....

error occurred while trying to load the controller personality "003"

PT starts up and runs sessions but the 003 screen is blank & the faders dont move. everything was fine before I installed the MIDI mode update (003_MIDI_MODE_34512.dmg) any suggestions? I tried to install it a few times & got the same result. Should have just left well enough alone!

It sounds like the controller personality is corrupted. You have a couple options - you can do an uninstall and reinstall of Pro Tools, making sure to trash the Controllers folder in the Pro Tools folder before reinstalling - this will reinstall a new controller personality.

Alternately if you know someone with the same version of Pro Tools they can send you just the 003 controller file and you can replace the one in your Controllers folder with it.

Please trash preferences after doing either of these.

I,m on PT 7.4 cs3
I have confirmed that is what my 003 bundle file is.
There are other Bundle files in there .e.g. 002. / command 8 etc... the total Controller file is about 40mb.
If its any good to you, i can upload it.
I suspect that you may be on PT8 though..
