BFD 2 plugin not showing
Hello,
I have just bought a new computer, and I am in the process of getting everything setup again. I have a problem with BFD 2, I don't see it as a plugin in pro tools, or in the plugin folder. I am using Mac os x Leopard version 10.5.4, IMac, 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM, Digi 002 and Pro tools Version 7.4.2, and I have aslo used the cs update from the digi design website. I've been out of touch from recording for a while, hopefully its something simple. Can anybody help??? Thanks in advance. |

Re: BFD 2 plugin not showing
Have authorized BFD 2 yet?, if not you may need to try this............
License Manager related issues:- Firstly, if you have a firewall, make sure it is turned off. If the first way of authorising fails try the other 2 methods ("Via web browser", "Via a different computer") next. It's best to make sure ALL your products are registered FIRST (via the Web site) before attempting to authorize them (in the License Manager). IF kits/kit pieces do seem to be working or the groove librarian isn't finding grooves then use the "Trash and rebuild all" preferences option in the preferences tab. Make sure you BFD audio path is shown correctly as well. This has changed in BFD2 to a folder called 'Audio' NOT 'Data' |

Re: BFD 2 plugin not showing
That didn't work, Product is registered and FX Expansion licence manager say that it is OK!
Could it be anything to do with VST'S and RTAS, I had BFD 2 Working on pro tools 7.3 as a plugin, Does Leopard only recognise it as a VST and not as an rtas?? Anybody? |

Re: BFD 2 plugin not showing
It should automatically show the plug in, in Pro Tools, have you actually installed the RTAS version, its been so long since I installed mine, I have forgotten what I did, mine has been working fine since I first bought it when it first came out.

Re: BFD 2 plugin not showing
Check you have the latest version installed with the version of PT you are running and the OS version, that may sort it out - usually does.

Re: BFD 2 plugin not showing
I don't see which version of BFD2 you have installed - you need 2.0.4 or higher for proper compatibility.
If you have that version or higher installed, try trashing preferences so that all plug-in data can be re-cached. |

Re: BFD 2 plugin not showing
I use my Clavia Ddrum 4 SE to control BFD 2, its like playing a normal kit, but when its all working properly, and all keymaps etc are in place, its totally flawless, with no latency issues, and no drop outs, interestingly enough, when wrapping the VSTi to RTAS, BFD 2 does not wrap, you have too do it manually.

Re: BFD 2 plugin not showing
Got It sorted, just re-installed it and it works!! seems to be a little problem with ''mem low'' on the BFD 2 Interface though. Can't understand it, surely I have enough RAM to run this in protools????
