Default How did I do that ?

The other day I exported midi and audio files from an old session into a new one. Suddenly I discovered that my groups and locations had been transferred as well. So I wonder which information groups and locations are a part of ?

Open the import session data dialog and see what options you have in there

The tempo map and memory locations come with the midi file (very handy!). Not sure about the groups.
