ELEVEN RACK and G-SYSTEM
Hey guys
What is the best setting for these two to work perfectly? I'm using the 4 cable method and treating the ER as a normal amp. Can any of you guys share your "FX LOOP SETTINGS/CONTROL"? Should I place the FX LOOP (in the ER chain) before or after the amp and cab? What is the best input settings on the G-SYSTEM? I'm currently on 6db (with my Mesa Boogie DC3, I'm only in 0db) Thanks in advance... REY C. |

Re: ELEVEN RACK and G-SYSTEM
The normal procedure would be:
guitar into Gsystem Gsystem (insert-out) to eleven ( guitar input ) eleven ( amp2 out ) to Gsystem ( insert-return ) This way the 11r will act like ( mono ) guitar amp. You can place effects in front of 11r ( using the loops of the Gsystem ), use all of the effects of 11r ( mono ) and the effects of Gsystem ( stereo ). The 11r has a low output impedance. This means the Gsystem insert-return should work very well with it. |

Re: ELEVEN RACK and G-SYSTEM
I prefer to take advantage of the true Z input so setup like this (which sounds like the way you are already doing it).
Guitar>11R 11R Loop Send>G-System input G-System output>11R Loop Return In control panel you can then move the loop around either before or after amp/Cab and have a listen to see what sounds best. Start with setting levels with all effects off, both on 11R & G-System then choose the amp/cab you want. From there it's a matter of tweaking things to suit yourself. If you try all ideas, then go with what sounds best to YOU you should end up happy

Re: ELEVEN RACK and G-SYSTEM
zedhed,
you are right, it's a matter of taste. important is: do you like/need the gsystem compressor, filters, loops in front of your amp. By the way:your solution takes 8 AD or DA conversions, mine "only" 6. you: eleven(AD-DA) gsystem(AD-DA-AD-DA) eleven(AD-DA) I: gsystem(AD-DA) eleven(AD-DA) gsystem(AD-DA) |

Re: ELEVEN RACK and G-SYSTEM
Thanks for the response guys. I opted for LeonB's way for now and next week I'll try Zedhead's. I have to try the setup in a live setting first and hear how it sounds
Also, I'm using a Laney AH200 as my stage monitor. Any other "clean sounding" monitors you can suggest? Or is the Laney enough. Sounds uncolored to me for now. Thanks again... |

Re: ELEVEN RACK and G-SYSTEM
Just a cross-post from the T.C. Electronic forums, cause I just bought a G-System as well

Re: ELEVEN RACK and G-SYSTEM
I'm using mine in front of my guitar head.
I can't hear the G sys when plugged into the amp. This sounds too good to be true but I don't suppose it would be possible to just run guitar > G sys > G sys spdif out > 11r spdif in > 11r output 2 > amp input? |
