Default 12.5 was running great for 4 hours?

Can anyone think of why this could happen? I didn't change anything in those few hours. Fresh install 10.10.5... It was going great, the CPU looked more stable then all the sudden a crash and right back where I was with 12.4... Tempo changes throwing errors, video sync errors, the only difference the CPU isn't showing a giant spike after the tempo change, It still looks a bit more stable then 10.9.5 and 12.4

I saw someone mentioning replacing the prefs file every few hours but that sounds ridiculous.

I assume you have done and use the suggested optimizations AVID suggets?

Of course. Been using PT since the Mix system days. Energy settings, Wi-Fi off, Firewire networking, File Vault off. Separate drives for everything, Same setup that has a drive with 11.3.1 and OSX10.8.5... The only difference is plugin versions and PT 12 and the OS X. Followed this to the letter: http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/t...Optimize-10-10

Well I installed 12.5 and barely had the time to work more than 10 minutes ... but I can say so far that 12.5 startup load times takes significant time when compared to its predecessors ... the slugginesh still exists .... and when I tried to create a project in the cloud the session was ridiculously slow .... any comments ??

Ya, the session load time seems crazy long now. I'm on 10.10.5 wondering if 10.11.4 would make a difference. I'm growing very tired of all this. It's even jeopardizing my work at this point.

Not the session only ... but Pro Tools loading time as a whole when it has to look for the plugins etc ....

No problems here at all ... loading time is fine, no hiccups whatsoever .. 10.11.4 on an old Imac i3 .. import/export, multi tracking running smoothly..

normal PT loading times here. Takes a little longer on first start re-scanning the plugins folder.
