Default Distortion in monitor section

I have noticed audible distortion in my Genelec speakers coming from the Control 24. When I patch the output of Pro Tools into another set of speakers bypassing the monitor section, there is no distortion. Anyone else have distortion issues with monitor section?

Thanks

Mike

Default Re: Distortion in monitor section

I finally discovered the problem lies in the Genelec speakers, the 8030A's are not robust enough to handle the sound pressure levels of 85dB on certain sounds. The Control 24 is off the hook for this one.

Live and learn...
