Good day everyone,
I just wanted to get a general consensus from past experiences if I may. Since PT9 is still kind of early in the game for most who haven't acquired PT9, so from the past OS systems, and earlier versions of PT which can everyone agree that was the most stable? CHEERS Myself I found Tiger & 7.3 the most stable. ![]()

7.4.2 was a great release in terms of stability back on Leopard. But 9.0 beats all versions I've worked with so far.

All versions worked for me by keeping the system clean and following the guidelines provided in the sticky threads. At least I would consider it stable (not necessarily bug free).

OS9 PT5.1.3
Had plenty of bugs but very stable in terms of crashing.

From version 5 up to 9, I find 9 to be the most stable one. On multiple machines.

Properly done my MIX on xp runs as good as OS9 v5 does/did.
But, so much of that was in the OS config, since OS9 was stable PT was. But yeah, osx 10.6 is getting to where I haven't rebooted in over a month and that's right in line with the other systems, only since it's actually stable unix running the show, I'm sure unless for update or install required I could do into the 100's of days, etc. And, as long as your mixing hybrid, v5 and v6 are not as dated as one might think. |
