SuperTap 2.8 OEM vs WaveShell-DAE 2.8.1
I received a SuperTap 2.8 OEM for my newly upgraded PT 24MIX Core which doesn't seem to work with 2.8.1 version of waves plug-ins...
Is any one out ther have a new version of this SuperTap 2.8.1 OEM that is compatible with Waves 2.8.1 plug-Ins. because this version can not run under WaveShell-DAE 2.8.1 and my other waves TDM plug-ins would neither run under WaveShell-DAE 2.8 OEM, Waves Web & FTP Server...? Re: SuperTap 2.8 OEM vs WaveShell-DAE 2.8.1
Good luck Baba.
I've been told that Waves does not have a 2.81 OEM update for SuperTap. They apparently have some pathetic solution for having to upgrade to their US$400+ FX package or some **** like that. |

I can't understand why professional companies posed a problematic situation of this kind, pretty embarrassing... paying for something that is not usable. (:-(=

Go to their website www.waves.com and download the 2.8.1 version of SuperTap. As long as your hardware dongle is authorized for SuperTap, any recent version will work.
good luck. waves is a good company. |

i just recieved super tap as part of a promopack. it comes with an 8 step proceedure to install with waves 2.8.1... sorry it's too much to type... maybe it's posted on the site... or maybe you should look at your paper work on the back side of the "thank you for purchasing..." paper... it's there.

Re: SuperTap 2.8 OEM vs WaveShell-DAE 2.8.1
I thinks it is not really professional to buy a product that doesn't work straight away from the box, where one need about 2-3 hours to installed and trying hour and hour to configure one plug-ins, I am sorry this is stupid and unprofessional, though the waves German distributor "klangkonzepte" has promised to provide me a serial number to authorize my Wavekey. which is the only out.

Re: SuperTap 2.8 OEM vs WaveShell-DAE 2.8.1
Every software technology company out there continually strives to upgrade their products. Waves came out with 2.8.1 and you're version is 2.8-- so go to their site and upgrade! I've gone through the same process with Kensington, Imation, Apple, Digidesign, Adobe.... These are the costs of technology. If you find it inconvenient, go back to your analog tape deck and you're black and white TV and call me from your rotary phone when you get sick of it.

Re: SuperTap 2.8 OEM vs WaveShell-DAE 2.8.1
Presently there is no SuperTap version 2.8.1 OEM, only the 2.8.1 which uses a different authorisanation code/number.
