Need Help with a Portable Mix and Edit solution
I currently tracking and mixing in my home studio: Mac G4, 001, OS9.2, PT 5.2 and Logic 4.8.
I am starting to do a lot of traveling for work and would like to be able to take my tracks with me to edit and mix them while I'm out on the road. Then bring them back to my home studio for final mix and mastering. What I am looking for is an ultra light and portable HW/SW solution. I don't need a lot of inputs or outputs since all I want to do is mix and edit. But I do need it to be easy to go back and forth between my systems? Suggestions? What Notebook (could I do XP?), music HW and Software? Thanks! |

Re: Need Help with a Portable Mix and Edit solution
Hello. If you want to stay inside of Pro Tools you will need an Mbox to operate the software. If you can use other software, any of today's Mac and PC laptop offerings are more than up to the task. Then if you use something like the Echo Indigo you are set. Good luck.
