On one song of a record I'm doing, when I select a region, and then grab the region to move it, the grabber hi-lites the entire track, not just the region selected. This happens on all tracks (i.e., bass, gtrs, vocals, etc.) of this one song. And it happens on my back-up of this song.
All edit functions in the other songs work fine. Any ideas? Thanks. An email response would be great. lalabomba@earthlink.net |

That's what the grabber does. You have to use the selector or the scrubber to first designate part of a track as a region. Then:
EDIT--->Capture Region OR Apple/R And name the region. Once you have designated part of a track as a seperate region, you can use the grabber to move it around. It sounds like you're probably doing the first part (designating the part of the track you want as a region), but then forgetting to do the second part (actually designating and naming the region). |

From lalabomba's description, it sounds like he's already broken the track up into specific regions. Once a region has been selected, touching it again using the grabber should just move that region. Unless I'm missing something here, it sounds like something wierd is indeed going on...
No odd preferences settings come to mind...bomba, have you tried it on some other sessions (ie not just the back-up on this song)...also, have you tried restarting your comp? Just a couple of thoughts...
