Default Creating shortcuts for menu objects

As you may know, in OS X it is possible to assign custom shortcuts to menu objects. For instance, since I do alot of radio editing I'd like a shortcut for the dreaded normalize function.

So, I happily enters "Normalize" as the function of my choice, assigning it to alt+cmd+N. When I restart protools and try it out, the AudioSuite menu blinks as all menus do when shortcutting to an object within it, but the normalize dialogue does not appear.

What could be wrong?

Me not smart enough?

Default Re: Creating shortcuts for menu objects

me think u plenty smart enuff!

happened to me too - maybe summat 2 do wi submenu's?

I did get it to work with bounce to disk ( in 6.4 ) but I wanted to add reverse and normalise - your plans a good'un!!!

couldn't get them to work and nobody was interested!

lemme know if ya get it sorted! might be one of those things you need to get a HD system for cos it requires more DSP power than a quad G5 can provide...- ( cough cough!!) Digi does that a lot - notice the short cut keys that are only available to TDM users..........
