Default Pro tools M Powered & Windows 7 SP1 Pro.

Hey everyone,
I am using windows 7 SP1, my question is should I update the OS with auto update? I know when I was using Windows XP we were told not to let the computer update itself. I can not fine anything on 7 Pro SP1 updates; the computer tells me it has 9 updates now. What should I do?

I'm using a Dell T5500 with an Intel 2.4 Processor, saga hard drive
Thanks
Mike
