You don't have parts that go together here. The motherboard is a socket 1366 and requires an i7 9xx cpu, and a triple channel RAM kit(3x2GB or 3x4GB). To use the Sandybridge and the RAM you listed, you need a socket 1155 motherboard. The P67's are a good choice with that cpu, but you might also look at the upscale 1155 cpu called the 2600(those with the letter K after the number are unlocked for overclockers).

I think that P67 mobo should do well, but I would stay with the i5 2500 myself(or go to the i7 2600 if you can afford it). That mobo runs dual channel RAM so an 8GB kit(2x4) would be great.

Should be all good. You may need to set RAM manually in BIOS as the AUTO setting sometimes selects the slowest speed.

I'm thinking of running pt 8.05 with windows 7 home 64 bit. Does windows 7 have that internet explorer problem causing pt not to load?

2 issues I see. #1, I would go with a beefier power supply(650-700 watts) and #2, your RAM is triple channel(3 sticks) but that motherboard runs dual channel RAM, so I would go with the 2x4(total of 8GB) of that same RAM(unless you want to have a spare stick on hand, but you will only USE 2 sticks on that mobo). Looks very similar to my new build(done with an ASUS P67 mobo). Initial testing has gone well so far, but I have yet to do a complete session on it
