Question Looping samples click in between / aren't in time

I downloaded samples from a www.freesounds.org, and when trying to loop them in Pro Tools LE 8.3, using either duplicate, or even the looping trimming tool, the samples don't play together very well.

This happens with everything from a kick drum sample to a multi-bar choral. I could probably create fades between the distinct regions, but shouldn't the samples jive together from the get go?

Help would be greatly appreciated.

My thought would be with freesounds.org. It sounds as though freesounds.org didn't do a very good job with their loops. Not a very good job editing. Just because it's free doesn't mean that's what you get. You may be able to fix them using EA.

Most of the sounds on that site aren't even loops anyway. They're user uploaded sounds, that the website doesn't have anything to do with, they're no more than a host.

If you want a sound to loop, you're going to have to create a loop from that sound.

Thanks for the input. How would I create a loop out of the sound?

Btw I tried to get rid of the click with a fade between the two regions, but it says "One or more fade requests are invalid due to insufficient audio data between the fade bounds". I extended the bounds up to 20,000 samples and it still gives me the message.

Thanks again,

- Josh
