Teething Troubles
I've recently upgraded my Mac OS to 10.8.4, and my Protools from 9 to 11, running through an Avid 003 rack. The Protools side of things was remarkably easy to set up and it's working just fine. However since the upgrade I'm having trouble getting the other sounds from my Mac to interface with the 003. When I select Avid 003 rack in System preferences, software such as iTunes and audio from Safari is simply muted. By selecting 'line out' I can get an analogue output to my sound desk directly out of the computer, but not the optical one which used to come out of the 003.
Has anyone had the same problem and come up with a good solution? |

Re: Teething Troubles
Easy solution, get a cable to connect the computer audio out(mini-TRS) to the ALT inputs of the 003(2x quarter inch). Hit the Alt to Mon button on the 003 to listen to all non-PT audio.
