Re: Hide Folders Only
Why can't we have a working "Hide Folders", without it also hiding the contents ? I simply want to see all my audio tracks without seeing each of the folders they're in. "Hide Folders Only".

Re: Hide Folders Only
This one button hid my folders, but it might not also show only audio AS it hides folders. Oh wait, I see it hides folders and contents. Hmm, If folders were just auxes could hide auxes... That might be how it used to work. I don't use folders much...
You might have a couple presses either way, but SoundFlow could make that quicker. There are LOTS of workflows regarding track selection and routing that I've seen put to use in practice. A little thing like this that actually annoys you is a perfect use of a macro/script. I've wanted reliable automation for years. Things like this example you share are low hanging rewards for UI automation. Avid would be adding a hundred features a day if it were responsive to "could they just gimme _____?" for everyone. An automation tool like SoundFlow though, suits everyone's needs and more. Avid working on core features and letting scripts fly seems rock solid to me. More than the idea of feature bloat with millions of things to consider every fresh install. Just my core-duo cents

Re: Hide Folders Only
I looked at it more, and yeah, seems there is some interesting functionality there. If you hide the folder, and the audio remains, it's like a table in blank space and no room, but if the folder were just an aux, you're taking one window out but all the other windows are still open..... It's abstract, to say the least. How should it "hide folders" while showing the tracks? It seems it does need to be featured/implemented in a way. They seem here to take the table away with the room.... Does that make sense?
Hiding Aux or Hiding MIDI or Hiding Audio all make pretty direct sense, but "show contents of routing folders but hide the folder graphical parts" is more specific... There is a quite a lot of compartmentalization involved here. Hah!
