Default Video import very slow...

So I've noticed lately that video imports with DV files and "video out firewire" enabled are taking a real long time. Then once they're in the session and I have to spot it, it takes a long time for it to move. Playback is fine but getting set up is really aggravating. When "video out firewire" isn't selected everything works fine.

It seemed to start after I upgraded my Nuendo to 4.3 but upon reverting it back to the original version the problem persisted. For what it's worth I have the exact same problem in Nuendo which leads me to believe it's quicktime related. QT hasn't been upgraded and I'm on 7.6.0.

Anybody come across this?

Thanks,
JR
