Generating Timecode from USD, Help

Hello,

I have been trying to generate Timecode from the USD using the System Setup window. When I select Generate TC using USD . . . Position Reference changes from LTC (my usual setting) to Generate.

The word "Generate" however is greyed out. Of course when you play . . . no timecode is generated.

I am able to generate TC by using manaual (non-remote) mode. All other functions of the USD work normally.

My system . . . G4/400, PT Mix Plus, USD connected to Digiserial Port.

Dennis,

Make sure that pro tols is "online" when you are trying to generate from the USD.
Sounds like your settings are correct other than being online.
