PTLE really unresponsive in record....?
Hi all,
I've recently upgraded my writing rig: G5 2.3DP, 8.5Gb RAM from 7.4 on 10.4.11 to 8.0.1cs1 on a clean install of 10.5.8 on a new drive... All plugins are up to date. I'm having a huge problem with PT failing to respond when in record... I'm running a session with one instance of EastWest Play with about 5 instruments loaded, and I'm also running Trilian, and a couple of XPand2 instruments... Every time I go to record a short section of MIDI, PT stays in record for about 10-15 seconds after I've pressed the space bar..... The cursor is moving on the screen, but not changing back to the black arrow, and clicking on the transport STOP button also has no effect.... It's as if every time I'm in record, there's a time lag of about 15 seconds, after which PT catches up with any key stroke commands, and does them all in one go... I'm aware that Play may very well be the culprit here, however I don't really have much option as I'm providing more music for a re-commissioned TV show which is based almost entirely around the Play Orchestral instruments.....!!! I had no such problem with exactly the same setup in 7.4. I have done all the usual stuff.... Trashing preferences, etc, etc.... Anyone else having similar issues? Jon |
