Default Digi 002 console not working with Pro Tools 8 LE

I just recently acquired a Digi 002 console and tried to run it with Pro Tools LE 8. The console turns on fine but as soon as Pro Tools looks for the hardware it turns off. Beacuse of this I can't get Pro Tools to open. What do I need to do in order to use the Digi 002 console with Pro Tools 8?

Do a search on this forum for "power harness"

That will lead you to threads with info on how to determine if that is your problem and how to deal with it.

you can call and get a new power harness from digi and it may or may not be free. i had this issue and i was able to get around it for 5 years. A lot of threads will tell you how to. I did the following for the quick fix but keep in mind it depends on how safe you feel and what the warranty is. If there is no more warranty then you have nothing to lose and can save a lot by doing it yourself by replacing the harness i think it's only $20 or if you need it running now you can reseat and that may last you a month to a year.

unscrew the back and carefully lift it up. you will see a bunch of plastic pieces connected to several part of the board like 4 i believe. now in my experience i've been able to unplug one maybe two of these usually the easiest to get off and just rub it back and forth in the pins a few times then reconnect them and screw it back on and your good to go for a few months. replacing it yourself with a new on may be a bit trickier as there are some located under things and a bit tricky to get lose and take off. as long as you don't spill water or rip the top off or knock parts off with a screw driver theres not much threat as for as it breaking.

hope that helps.
