HELP! Pro tools 9 will not reinstall

I am trying to reinstall my protools 9 but I keep getting this message

Pro Tools cannot be installed because the following error(s) were found on your system:
- An incompatible version of the OS was found. Pro Tools 9.0 requires Mac OS X version 10.6.2 or higher.

i am on yosemite 10.10.5

One of the moderators might want to move this to the legacy forum.

That being said you're stuck - you will not be ever be able to install PT9 on Yosemite; even PT10 requires a hack to get it to install and even for those that have been able to install it there are issued with missing insert menus item and other graphics issues.

Your only options are to either backdate OSX to an earlier version which might not be possible or to upgrade to PT12. If you do the latter you're going to need new versions of ALL your plugins to support aax64 format; PT11, PT12 an upwards no longer support RTAS plugins.
