Default ATTN: ADA8000 -> 002 owners

so i've got an 002 coming my way and i could use the additional inputs. i dont want to spend a whole lot of money right now so i'm gonna get the Behringer ADA8000 to get me by while i save my money. how do you guys like it and is it fairly easy to use?

It's great , it's so cheap.

Only bad thing i can come on with is that sometimes when idling the ada8000 starts making some loud noise on one or some channels, also when not clocked or synced it gives spikes now and then ( aslong the channels are muted or rec disabled not really a problem ).

Cheers
Bossi

Mine works well.. it was a snap to install but the clocking thing Bossi mentioned is true. w/o making sure it's clocked properly (which takes about 30 seconds at the most ) you'll get clicks/pops...

My ADA8000 sounds pretty good.. I prefer my Mackie Pres but like you I needed the extra inputs for recording drums and whatnot... it's been a nice piece of gear.

How do I like it?
Very good. Best back for the buck if you're on a low budget.
I use it to record jams at my place, which I need the extra inputs for.
For "studio sessions" I also use it to record parts of the drum kit that aren't 'key' i.e. toms.

Mine just died after 6 months(lights up but nobodys home). It does sound ok for the money though. I am negotiating a new one. I have had other products from that company meet the same fate.

awesome. thats what i'm planning on using it for, also. i'll use the 4 inputs from the 002 for the kick, snare, and overheads. i also have an mbox so i'll probably use the 2 inputs on that for the toms (considering i normally record bands with 2 toms). the ada would be for bottom snare micing, and probably ride, hi-hat and room mics. so i'm pretty pumped about getting it. now if i can only find out if my guitar center has it in stock. they havent emailed me back =/
