Default stoping digital pops when punching in

A couple of the punches I have been doing always have pops right where the punch in starts...I get closer into the wav file to try to find a more open spot to mark where to punch in...But if I'm trying to punch in a piano part throughout an entire song there are no big gaps where I can start the punch from...with a continuous wav file like this that I want to punch in, how can I cut out the digital pop....THank you

Yes, I have tried this ...I highlighted the very small area where the punch was to be punched ina nd tried creating a cross fade but the crossfade menu wouldnt highlight...I have yet to use crossfades on anything yet...Just fades...What do I have to get the crossfade button highlighted...Thank you

Select a bit before and a bot after the punch in. A crossfade needs 2 regions as where a fade in/out needs only one. Makes perfect sense if you think about it.

It also needs to be done after you have done the punch. The tense of your description implies that you were trying to do it before the punch.
