Default PT 2018 session compatibility with 12.x

Hi Guys,

Have had a look around to see if this question has already been answered but I'm wondering whether there will be any issues opening a 2018.3 session with PT 12.4 or 12.6? And vice versa?

Many thanks in advance.

All the best,

Mike

Hey, thanks, Drew. Time to upgrade one of our systems to 2018 ... just didn't want there to be a forehead slap moment when moving sessions between systems :)

Cheers,

Mike

I actually opened one of my 2018 sessions on a studio computer which was still running v11, no apparent problems

As with any update, always(as in ALWAYS) have a backup plan, in case something goes sour. Drive imaging is something every computer user should be doing and drive cloning is the next level(nobody was ever sorry they had a spare system drive all loaded up and ready to go into service in case of a funky update, a virus attack or a system drive crash). Remember, there are 2 kinds of computer users; those that have had a crash, and those that WILL have a crash
