Default melodyne ?

Is it better to run Melodyne as a plugin or on its own?

I have pro tools 10.3.1 on Mountain Lion. when running Melodyne as a plug in... I get a message saying your CPU is out of power, or something to that effect... the pro tools crashes...

Default Re: melodyne ?

Yeah, I also run the plugin and always bump the buffer to 1024. Here's a shortcut to printing the tuned audio. I create a new blank track next to the track I am tuning. Once the tuning is all done, I drag the Melodyne plugin to the new track(yes, the audio moves with it, but you don't see it on the track). Then I set the Melodyne track(the track I dragged to) to use an open bus as its output. Then I set the track I WAS tuning to use that same bus as input. Create a new playlist(moving your un-tuned audio) and record. What you are doing here is recording your tuned audio right back to the track where it started, giving you the tuned audio, AND the original audio on the same track(but in separate playlists). Sounds complex, but its actually pretty elegant
