make sure you choose "once and for all" first, cuz the other song is kinda old.

I think the drums are way too loud.

Your express URL is really http://mp3.com/Th3DyingLight

I think "Wat Strikes" sounds really good, the mix is well balanced. It could sound a little more dark, a little more doomed, a little more deep. Maybe more dark reverb on the voice, on the drums, maybe a little more bass and a little less voice in the mix. Listen to mixes by bands you think sound good.

"Once and for all" sounds totally different. The drums are outside of the mix, lower their volume a little bit and add a little reverb.

I think you have great basics track and a clear mix, which is a really good start. You just have to add a few touches to your mix to make it sound more like one compact ensemble instead of several instruments on different tracks played at the same tiem.
Learn to use reverb, and carefully adjust level balance.

Very good demo sound though.

i appreciate the time you guys took out to check out and critique my stuff. it is my first project using live drums. the warstrike has a drum machine, and it was the first thing i ever recorded on pro tools. i was really worried that the drums were going to be buried, i guess i went to far with the levels. i have a few projects coming up, mostly pre-production, and demo stuff, but im glad to build on my skills, and lucky since here in nyc i have a plethora of groups to work with.

i used three mikes to record the drums, and basically no outboard gear besides plug ins. my set up is really simple, but i think less is more, especially since im new to all of this DAW stuff. i have alot to learn, but im psyched as hell to git better.

thanks again.
